Rhodes, Greece
Hm... three weeks and a couple of days remaining here in Rhodes. Does that make me a short timer
yet? It does get me to planning ahead. Will this bar of soap last that long? (Ans: it is worth trying.)
Flights reserved? (Yes, five of them.) Lodging reserved? Yup - Florence, Madrid, Paris. Going to
visit a friend in Italy for a few days on the way home.)
I do hope I shake this cold before I leave. I'd hate to share it with my fellow
passengers, especially on the long flight to San Francisco; anyway I am tired of coughing and
burning through kleenex, if burning is really the appropriate word.
My room at Home Sweet Pub.
I rode with my neighbor down to an International school, that was having a pre-Christmas
bake sale and fund-raiser. The elementary school apparently serves some of the ex-pat families who
live in Rhodes. I remember rooms identified as France, Finland, and I forget what others.
Lately I've been having a lot of
fun with
reflections
of ths little tower on the Kolona side of the St Paul Gate. It seems only fair to show it
straight, so to speak.
Christmas lights on a wall at Kolona Harbor.
A winter afternoon at Windy beach.
A Summer cafe in Winter, biding its time.
I don't even remember any story behind this image, but I love the way it came out. Make up whatever
tale entertains you best. Just don't make the mistake of believing your own guff afterward.
I recently discovered an obscure balcony with a nice vista over the Mandraki Harbor entrance.
Both of these pictures are fruits of that discovery.
A couple of strategically placed rain puddles, near Suleiman's mosque.
This almost wraps up the 2016 pictures from here in rhodes.
