Rhodes, Greece
My last week here in Rhodes for this season.
First a few nature shots in wishful honor of Spring, which
definitely is not here yet.
Most of today's page is devoted to ensemble photos -
pairs, or sometimes trios of pictures that work together.
The base of the remains of the minaret of Recep Pasha's
(yes, poor crumbling) mosque.
An old windmill and a spiky tree (anybody know its name?), high on a hill just inside the city wall.
The top of the same tower seen from outside the city,
across the moat and wall.
An arch in the approach to the Red Gate.
Looking through.
The near side.
Two consecutive arches on the approach to the San Francisco Gate.
The woman with the pony tail is entering the city. Everybody else is leaving.
The area around the entrance to Mandraki Harbor is a great cradle of
photos waitng to be born, sometimes born again.
The neighborhood supermarket on Platonos Street, scene of the following
two photos as well.
I believe I have enough Rhodes photos for another page.
Whether I get it posted before I leave Tuesday is a different question.
If not, I'll post them while I am in California in March.
Ciao!
