Rhodes, Greece
Tonight's sportsball match must be special. A patio full of people watching
sportsball is nothing unusual, but I have never seen everybody's attention so riveted
to the screen. One team (BEL) or the other (FRA) must be sportsing really hard, though
neither has any score to show for it.
If I understand it right, the 2020 football season was suspended last year due to covid.
This summer, both the 2020 and 2021 seasons are being played, interleaved!
Bar signs
plugging "today"'s games, include the season as well as the teams. E.g. 2020
18:00 Eng / UKR -- 22:00 POR / SWE
The fact that I don't follow it anyway hinders my understanding, but gives me little
to lose.
Another detail of local life - I need to break out some of my paper surgical masks.
There are still occasions where a mask is polite and/or required, and the steenkin' hot
(humid) days are making the KN95s uncomfortable. Gotta remember this before going
out for the day.
Eating crow, so to speak.
This orange-flowered vine does not look like our standard hibiscus to me. Is it some
kind of honeysuckle? It thrives here in the steenkin' hot Summer, whatever it may be!
Down By The Water
The rest of tonight's page is low-meaning goof-off pictures from the harbor's edge.
I think they are all Mandraki Harbor - any that aren't are Kolonna Harbor.
The greenish images are all the same boat.
I like the color.
