The first of two pages of first impressions of 2013.
It looks a lot like 2012,
but with one more NYE celebration behind us.
What would photos for the new year be without the new year's eve photos?
In our case, that means NYE at The Walk Inn, that best of neighborhood pizza
pubs in the old city.
Notice the cat trying just to get a nap or a handout, without his tail
getting stepped on.
The freebie "champagne" this year was actually a sweet, fruity sparkling
moscato, and far from the cheapest! My annual ration of 1/2 glass went down
willingly enough.
This poor puppy was taken way too young from his mother, and then dragged to
a party because he is too undisciplined to leave at home unsupervised. He
proved invaluable as entertainment for the two young girls, and they for him.
A partly drizzly New Years Day left plenty of opportunities for reflection
on the second day of the year.
What little is left of the best pizza in the old town, and probably the island.
Well, not only didn't the world end last year, the cats didn't even disappear
from it.
