Paleohora, Crete, Greece
Last leaves falling
Some pictures from the last pre-storm day. I like them too much to
leave them out.
Wind and Rain, tell me why...
This gift and trinket shop turns out also to be the
only laundry that is open for the winter.
First sunrise after the storm moved in,
seen from my balcony. You can see some rain marks on the glass door of
the balcony. It was not a good time to be working from outdoors
Amazing the photographic effects you can get from glare on a wet street.
The formerly glassy sea has turned distinctly lively.
Since that night, the street lights have been dark all along the
breakwater. This one for obvious reasons.
The streets are still loaded with puddles that make walking in sandals
a matter requiring care.
I'm all right; yesterday I replaced the umbrella that I had chucked a
month ago in Athens.
Bonus Flashback to Iraklio
A gypsy woman selling balloons.
Reflections in a shop window.
Any other guy in town would have been
delighted to have this foxy woman
holding his hand. Her own son looked like he wanted no part in it.
My sympathies, Kid! Been there.
