Marianske Lazně, Czech Republic
Playing Misty
When mother nature gives you misty grey light, you learn how to take those
kind of pictures.
It did no harm to find a team working on a broken steam pipe in the
sidewalk.
Hey... here comes a break in the clouds just
before sunset.
The spa complex centers around a pagentially decorative colonnade, with
an elaborate shape-changing fountain. More later on both of those.
The view from inside the colonnade, through an upper window.
The freebie tasting room for the various spring waters.
These kids didn't seem concerned with The
Cures. More power to them.
A very picturesque Russian Orthodox church, on a hill to the side of Main
Street (Hlavni Třida).
Marianske Lazně sits back-to-belly with a major protected forest area.
The fingers of forest that entwine with the town have well-signed and
maintained walking paths. Good for the soul.
This path is right behind my hotel.
There is no lack of parks and fountains as
well.
