Plain as black and white.
New this year.
Been here forever.
At this year's new mall food court...
Dept of familiar words spelled funnmy.
I don't make them up, folks.
I think this "slavic" spelling of gelato is tongue-in-cheek.
Definitely tongue-in-cheek!
A local landmark that has been here since Before The Beginning.
An Old Town landmark, named for a 19th century French writer of popular travel advntures.
(Yes, that Verne!)
"I've got one word for you, m'boy...!"
Now decommissioned ... an old public toilet by a major bus/tram junction. From the blocky
ham-handed style, I guess that this was Communist-era, part of the highway that connects
to the New Bridge. I.e. 1970's.
Our old friend, the old Slovak National Theater building.
Another survivor from the Old Town as I first knew it. Fits right in to today's theme park
version of the lovely old place.
Brand new this year. Prolly aimed at kidz who came of age when mullet hair style was a
thing.
(Fashion may be like music that way. Whatever music you came of age to, that is your
music. If it was junk, it is still your junk. Me, I'll settle for Bay Area 60's music.
I've added to it over the years (decades!), but Live Dead-era "acid dixieland" is still
deep in my fiber.
)
A popup bar on Kamenné námestie ("Stone Square").
In Austro-Hungarian times, the square was called Steinplatz ("Stone Square" in German).
In the Mediterranean, cruise ships tower upward. On the Danube, they stretch out up- and
downriver.
A word you never see in Europe, even in Spain! Common in Mexico though. This fast food
in the Old City probably really is Mexican.
Autobusová stanica.
'Nuff said!
Up On the Roof
A swift elevator ride from the bus station atrium.
