Bratislava, Slovakia
Who says you can't read Slovak?

When the trailing edge of the cloud front - shouldn't the trailing edge
be a back, not a front? - moves on eastward just as sunset is
approaching, the result can be some fairly dramatic lighting, at least on the
west side of stuff that the low remaining sun can reach.
In the old town, the usual picturesque sights acquire a golden glow. The
great door of the old city hall (now a museum), with its little built-in postern
door, looks almost expressionist.
(BTW, is that what a postern door really is? I almost never use the expression, for
fear that I do not really understand what it means.)
I must be off my feed. Going in to my fifth week here, I have yet
to post a single Martian Attack picture! This would hardly be Bratislava
without some imagery of the New Bridge.
So here we are: the bicycle and pedestrian path along the edge, and a full blast
heat-ray-in-the-face.
The lovely old Slovak National Theater never looked more dramatically Wagnerian.
