There has been a flu going around. I was an early adopter, so to speak. Spent a week thoroughly miserable, and another less so. This third week, I feel well, but still need to recover the strength to actually do stuff.

Let's start with a few by-now-generic pictures of the old city in mid-November.

The flow of cruise ships dwindled to a trickle over the first two weeks of November. Now in December, it is mostly a memory. The old city is cast members only, to borrow a phrase.

Yiannis', probably the best honest Greek food in the old city. Probably the best vegetable soup on the island. Too late now though; they are on vacation until February.

My now-ex neighbor, a Greek-American woman who uses the nom-de-voyage Aphroditi. She left last Saturday for Freiburg, Germany, where she has people. We miss her here. I wish her well.
