Rhodes, Greece
I gather that major historical events are unfolding in Greece at the moment. They have not had much impact on daily life in Rhodes. If I understood the Greek news, I might have more to say. As it is, I have no real insights to offer yet beyond what you could read in The Economist, until I manage to have a quiet talk with some Greek friend about it.

The major news in my immediate life this week is the departure of a well-liked regular for Australia. A nice young fellow whom I got to know last year. It is a long-term move; he will be deeply missed. Kalo Taxidi, Nektario!

The first turning leaves came to my attention yesterday. Another step in the long slow dance of sun and planet.

November is expected to last the rest of the month, so we'll be seeing more pictures of it.
Until then...
