Rhodes, Greece
Mid-November and the Sun is still with us in Rhodes, though the temperatures have dropped into the
wear-a-jacket range.
Detail of a brass decor at Yiannis' gem of a Greek restaurant here in the Old City.
Old door in a residential street.
If I had realized how skeletal this boat would look, I'd have posted it for Halloween.
Reflections in the harbor.
Discount clothing here usually comes from Chinese shops. This one is curious for not being on
Google Maps! A large store, big selection, this shop has been here since before I knew Rhodes.
They take cash only, and they are invisible to Google. Curious!
A well-kept cat. This lucky guy belongs to a shop-keeper friend on the corner of my street.
This cat doesn't belong to anybody that I know of; he is one of the bin cats who are feed by
volunteers. He sleeps on the pub tables sometimes.
If I were in charge of the city (gods forbid), I would establish a prize for whoever
develops a practical oral contraceptive for cats. 'Nuff said.
The Cat Patrol keeps the city's medieval heritage safe from flying off
in the event of a gravitational
malfunction.
The Mysterious Mythical Vanishing Tower of Rhodes.
This mystical structure wavers in and out of
normal human dimensions of space and time. It has never been studied, because it can only be seen by
people who are not paying attention to it.
