Rhodes, Greece
Summer time's done come and gone.
- Robert Hunter
The second week of November, and Summer, even indian Summer, apprears to be over.
I dug out the blanket to put on my bed.
I wear socks under my birkies most days, and
a long-sleeve shirt at night. Far from deep Winter, but warm it isn't.
I still have a page or two of warm pictures, so here we go.
Cruise ships are still stopping here this week, but they must feel like ghost ships
to the handful of passengers rattling around in them. A few of the souvenir shops
near the harbor open for them, but the streets are empty of crowds.
The change is so fast that peak season can be hard to remember,
even though it was a mere two weeks ago.
Tonight's pictures, all from October, feel more like history than travelogue.
Please Don't throw your trash into the OCEAN
Sadly, there is usually trash in the ocean below.
From one of the harbors.
Top o' the Town
The top of the medieval city wall is actually one of the broadest streets in the old city ...
... overlooking the town, and the Grandmaster's palace on the hill top.
Sidewalks as an art medium. Good old Rhodes!
Ciao!
