Winter has finally turned cold by Rhodes standards. Rain is forecast for tonight, becoming torrential tomorrow, then remaing for a few days as merely rain. As usual, that lets me catch up on recent rain-free pictures.

A corner of a bus stop shelter between the city wall and the tourist harbor.

The St Paul Gate, connecting Kolonna and Mandraki harbors, for pedestrians. Cars use the road through the nearby Arsenal and Liberty gates.

Some time after this week's predicted rainstorm, I should put together a page on the eleven gates of the old city.

The Virgin Gate, with the remains of the Naillac Tower at the end of its breakwater, part of the defenses manned by the French contingent of the Knights of St John.

In the distance, appropriate to the season, the round-towered Fort of St. Nicolas.
