Christchurch is far enough south to be on the cusp of Autumn in early March.
Little actual rain, but plenty of overcast skies and jacket temperatures.

Victoria Square was the transition zone between the heart of town, and my residential base neighborhood.

A rare eye-catching building in a bland modern part of town.

In the central pedestrianized zone.

That wraps up Christchurch, and new Zealand.
I hope to visit them again.

Any city should have a flashy modernist high rise.

From the ground, the sky bridge looks enough like a moebius strip to draw a second look!

Melbourne's Greek Quarter

Melbourne is the world's second-biggest Greek city! Historically, this section of Lonsdale Street was the heart of Greek Melbourne. It is still the official Greek Quarter.

Iconic,
so to speak.

Loukoumades - Doughnut balls soaked in honey.
A quintessentially Greek pastry!

Who knew?!
For the record, Thessaloniki is Greece's second biggest city.

Today, the Greek Quarter is mostly Asian. The Greeks are mostly in suburban Oakleigh, on the far side of the metro area from my base neighborhood.
