Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain
A cold spell has set into Sevilla for a few days. Predicted highs for the next couple
of days are mid-60's F, a bit chilly after the past week's 80's and 90's. I've dug
out my long sleeve shirt this evening and last.
Meanwhile, we are still in sunny Cordoba, pictorially speaking, so here goes.
The enclosed Plaza de la Corredera, reflected in a shop window.
A fountain in the lovely courtyard of the mesquita, the city's main
Moorish mosque.
Dining in while dining out.
Make up your own B-movie caption for this insectiform tree in the Alcazar gardens.
Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos
Cordoba's big signature attraction is the Mezquita, the country's foremost
surviving Moorish mosque. Nearby is the "Residence of the Christian Kings", an
"alcazar" for the Spanish monarchs when they were visiting the city.
My cursory exploration of the buildings did not find much interesting,
but the gardens are large, grand, and sometimes beautiful.
