Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain
OK, I know I said Bratislava, but I have been sitting for weeks on this
last set of Spain pictures, from May in Cordoba, Spain.
Since I don't have much new to show from now-familiar Bratislava, I'll just
slide back in time.
Cordoba, on a strategic bend in the Quadalquivir River, was a focal point
of Roman Spain, and the capital city of one of the later Moorish kingdoms.
Oh, right. Moors, yeah. Where is Spain again?
Sunnuvagun! Look who is moonlighting as a logo for a Spanish book store!
It's F. Frederick Skitty himself, hanging over the sidewalk,
right outside my window!
A couple of stacks of chairs at an outdoor cafe, cleverly disguised as
giant electrical transformers from Forbidden Planet
Are those real corinthian columns? I mean, are those Roman corinthian
columns, or Las Vegas corinthian columns?
An entrance to the Plaza de la Corredera
My little pension is about two floors up over this gate.
