Bratislava, Slovakia
Just another
Time of the Signs
Hmm... the names Friday and Saturday are in Slovak.
Everything else, including the events on Friday and Saturday, is in English.
Curious.

Under the Bridge
Under the approach to the New Bridge, there is a major city transit bus
stop. At least half a dozen lines stop here, and four or so tram lines stop
across the street.
This roof always reminds me of the orbitng resort mall in WALL*E
The Blue Church
On a whim the other day, I decided to go find a Bratislava attraction that I
had heard of, but never seen: St Elizabeth's, known colloquially as Modrý
Kostol, the blue church.
Modrý, "blue", is not to be confused with Múdry,
which means smart or wise.
For real.
The little church is not remote, just inconspicuous, tucked away in a
residential neighborhood between the old town and the bus station, whence I
am leaving tomorrow morning for Vienna airport and California.
The architecture fits right in with regional style, but the color scheme is
pure Aegean. A most whimsical treat.
