Rhodes, Greece

Aother winter week rolls by. The big regional news is that one of those bi-ig cruise ships, which had stopped here in Rhodes earlier this month, ran aground and capsized off an Italian island day before yesterday.

There is much wonder how a modern ship could do that. One acquaintance I talked to last night swore that it had to have been an inside job. "Somebody wants that captain's job."

Mind you, this fellow has a well-earned reputation as a bullshitter. Amiable, but but still...

Meanwhile... here is the view leaning out my window on my birthday last Tuesday evening.

A crow was thoughtful enough to fly into my picture, so I figure he deserved to get online for that.

Welcome to my shop.
Let me cut your mop.
Let me shave your crop.

Two points to anybody who identifies that quote.
(That plus a monthly pass gets you a ride on the bus for the rest of the month.)

That is this week's short
crop of the same ol' pictures.

See you all next time.

Little though it looks it yet, the days are getting longer.
Hold on good people; it won't be cold forever.
