Paris, France
Off again for the second set of year 4 of
$HOME on the Road.
Paris in April is just as overcast and a bit colder than I left it in February.
Der Spiegel reports that Easter was colder than Christmas! That was in Germany,
but I believe it of here too. Like many hotels here, especially budget ones,
mine turns off the heat for the season at the beginning of April. So let's just
stipulate about a page of kvetching, and skip straight to the more fun stuff.
Sun in the Morning
The sun actually rose on Easter morning, and lasted until about noon.
.
This time I am three floors up and at the front of the hotel. The rising Easter sun
put a welcome glow on the tops of the buildings to the left and straight across on
Rue Daguerre.
If you can't afford first class image-warping software, a car's rear window is the
next best thing.
Strolling down Rue Daguerre
A flower shop spills out onto the pedestrian zone.
The three horses' heads decorate the awning of a butcher shop.
The toddler doesn't seem to mind.
A shop after my own heart, on multiple levels.
The view from the bus stop, around the corner on the arterial Rue
General LeClerc.
It is noon, and the roof of cloud is moving back in.
See you soon.
