Malta
I've been here in Rhodes for a month now.
I still have plenty of Malta pictures.
That said, the Malta pictures aren't really telling stories any more. They have said most
of what they have to say. Tonight's round are picture-y enough, even if they aren't saying anything
new about Malta.
OTOH, it isn't like I'd be breaking new ground with this year's Rhodes pictures; we've
been here before, too.
Watch this space!.
A pair of garish mass hotels in St Julians, near St Georges Bay.
The self-described "Boutique Hotel". Your boutique-ness mileage may vary.
The rocket is actually a monument. I forget what to - perhaps a battle or something.
Valletta is a bit like Nob Hill in San Francisco. A flattish area on top, and steep drop offs
on the sides.
My apartment this last time was about half way between top and bottom. Like the
Grand Old Duke Of York, I was "neither up nor down". One of these streets was my usual way to
the top for coffee and shopping.
The Upper Barrakka Gardens, a high shoulder of the upper city with fine sunsets, and
vistas over the Gand Harbor. Also with that handy elevator to the waterfront.
