On the Waterfront
Not real shoes - a sculpture work. This is about a quarter of the
metal shoes along the riverfront. I don't know of any
story behind it. "But there they are", as the Firesign Theatre used to
say.
A couple of young women taking turns taking pictures of each other
jumping from this mooring post in the ground.
The Chain Bridge
behind them is the oldest bridge across the Danube in
Budapest.
Parliament Square I
think it is called. That is the parliament building reflected in the
windows of the Sofitel multi-star atrium hotel,
where my sister stayed a couple of years ago.
I felt like I was getting away with something, just walking onto the
premises - seriously underdressed, that is.
Nice boy, but sharp as a pound of wet leather.
Some outdoor cafes have these fans with jets of some coolant in the
airstream.
The stuff felt a bit dry for water. Maybe the idea is to not soak the
customers?
Dehydrated water.
Entry to a casino.
An outdoor cafe with less business than it would like.
A bored pedicab driver watches the
people show on a hot afternoon.
A ride on the Metro and the tram
finds us back in the
home base neighborhood.
The greenery is still photogenic.
The neighborhood grocery store has a
surprising
canned beverage.
